David Siebenga is a partner of Siebenga & King, a firm which he founded with Sanda King in 2003. David has a wide experience profile, which covers all areas of corporate finance. His experience profile is as follows:

  • Legal counsel and Vice President of Finance for an international cosmetics manufacturing facility - ( 1998 - 2004 )
  • Legal counsel and President of franchise development in United States of America for a Nationally based company - (1999)
  • Negotiated an urban development financing model for Habitat for Humanity, an international non-profit builder, financing construction of a multi-use condominium project in association with British Columbia Housing Management Corporation, an Equity Co-operative and a Developer - (1996 - 1997)
  • Commence operations in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia - (1992 - 2003)
  • Acted as Principal in combination with a large Japanese land development project located in Burnaby, British Columbia. Responsible for developing the overall development and strategic plan for the project, negotiating the land acquisition, budget proforma development and presentation, retaining legal and accounting specialists, developing an international tax efficient financing programme to permit the injection of capital funds into Canada to capitalize the project and developing executive summaries for international presentation.
  • Reviewed and provided development reports on sites located in Whistler, Vancouver, White Rock, Kelowna and Victoria - (1990 - 1993)
  • General Advisor and Counsel for an international land development company conducting a four phase project in downtown Vancouver with an estimated cost of $120,000,000. Duties involved coordinating the financing for all phases, land consolidation, construction contract preparation and general legal coordination for the development. Additional duties for other projects included acquiring a company holding substantial lands as a bare trustee for beneficial owners and general corporate legal and marketing development for the firm.
  • Acted as Counsel and advisor for a medium sized land development company. Duties involved internal legal matters, reviewing offshore commitment letters for a $3,000,000 strip mall and a $11,000,000 seniors congregate housing project in New Westminster, B.C. In addition, assisted in the development of cash flow proformas for the above projects and also streamlining office procedures.
    Acted as Legal Counsel for 50 companies. Responsibilities included preparing prospectuses for companies and coordinating the regulatory approvals required for these companies to obtain listing on the Vancouver Stock Exchange (1988 - 1992). Acted as Counsel for a mid-size public company on the Vancouver Stock Exchange in matters including offshore private placement of funds, property acquisitions, escrow issues, general administration and handling of issues concerning the market surveillance committee of the Exchange. Other matters included acting for companies in corporate commercial transactions such as offshore syndicate financing and Immigration exemptions, incorporation, purchasing of businesses, conveyancing and other minor matters. - (1988 - 1992)
  • Associate solicitor with a medium size law firm specializing in a solicitor's practice, namely: securities, corporate debentures up to $70,000,000, corporate commercial work, conveyancing and some litigation. Projects included coordinating the affairs of about 15 public companies, various real estate transactions, a $10,000,000 products liability law suit and other general legal work. - (1986 - 1987)
